Hat Fitting Tips (from a dog who knows)
- Measure around the widest part of the head, then add a finger's width of room.
- Ears first: pick hats with ear holes or ones that sit behind the ears. Don't squash them.
- A chin strap should stay put but still fit two fingers underneath.
- Start with short sessions and lots of treats. If your dog paws at the hat or looks stressed, take it off.
- Never leave a dog alone in a hat, and skip anything with small parts they could chew off.
